Visiting Legendary Car Wash Brands: Delta SonicA visit by Matt D’Souza  I recently visited Delta Sonic, which started with one car wash in Niagara Falls in 1967 and now lists 32 locations across New York, Illinois and Pennsylvania. At the site I visited four lanes converged on the tunnel. They had a formal sales process and they also sell air fresheners.
The initial prep is like nothing I have seen: three stations, one 100 yards back from the tunnel that is completely automated.
